  5. You are Brian Roberts, an employee of NEUTRA POWER, the world's biggest and
  6. most successful Nuclear Development Laboratory. Your company has successfully
  7. completed its latest project - a revolutionary nuclear power reactor known as
  8. the NUCALINE, which has taken approximately ten years to design, develop and
  9. finally release. It proved so successful in the laboratory that ELECTROGEN,
  10. an electricity company owned by NEUTRA POWER, ordered three NUCALINE reactors
  11. for their new power stations that are to be completed within seven years.

  13. Five years later the first of the three power stations was completed, and so
  14. NEUTRA POWER delivered the first reactor unit to ELECTROGEN, who installed it
  15. in the newly completed power station. The station underwent safety regulation
  16. tests, at which time the reactor unit was also tested. Both the power station
  17. and the NUCALINE reactor unit passed with flying colours. Since your company
  18. owned ELECTROGEN, you were assigned a temporary position in the power station
  19. as a nuclear reactor technician.

  21. At 12 noon on the 23rd of January that year, the reactor was powered up for
  22. commercial electricity generation for the first time. Because all previous
  23. testing had gone perfectly without incident, naturally it was assumed that
  24. the very same result could be expected once the reactor had commenced power
  25. generation. However, this was not the case...
